Sri Rama is believed to be the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. He was born as the son of King Dasaratha of Ayodhya. Rama’s wife, Sita, was kidnapped by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka. Rama killed Ravana and restored the rule of Dharma in the universe. Rama Gayatri Mantra is chanted for protection, clarity of thought, and the ability to make the right judgment. The best time to chant it is Ekadasi thithi and Saturdays. It should be recited 11, 108, or 1008 times.
